Meet Virginia Wright, Our New Managing Director

We are thrilled to welcome Virginia Wright, MBA, CFRE, as our new Managing Director. Virginia joins us with more than 30 years of nonprofit leadership under her belt. She's worked with the Santa Cruz Symphony, Open Floor International, and the Carmel Bach Festival, and most recently served as Director of Development at San José State University for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library and the Lurie College of Education. She's also brought her expertise to a wide range of nonprofits through her own consulting practice. In short, she knows this world deeply, and she knows this community.

In her role here, Virginia will work alongside our Founder and Artistic Director Lindsey Chester as a senior leader and strategic partner, overseeing administration, finance, operations, and development. She'll be working closely with Lindsey and our Board of Directors to strengthen our foundation and make sure we're set up to keep doing the work we love for years to come and to dream bigger than we’ve ever dreamed before.

Lindsey put it succinctly: "Virginia is exactly what this organization needs at this moment. She brings deep experience, strong relationships, and thoughtful leadership. I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with her as we build the next chapter of All About Theatre."

And Virginia? She's equally excited to be here. "I returned to Santa Cruz to use my experience to strengthen the community through the arts," she said. "All About Theatre is an ideal place to do that. Its high-quality productions and stewardship of the Colligan Theater support both young people and the broader creative community. I am honored to join this remarkable team."
