All About Theatre is beyond excited to present Dear Evan Hansen for the first time ever in Santa Cruz!
Dear Evan Hansen is a Tony-winning-coming-of-age musical about a lonely high school student with social anxiety. Evan fabricates a friendship with a deceased classmate to gain social acceptance. The lie spirals, forcing Evan to confront the consequences of his actions.
It is a powerful piece exploring mental health, grief, the impact of social media, loneliness, and the struggle for connection.

Come Audition!
This is the premier of Dear Evan Hansen in Santa Cruz. We decided to go BIG with this. We’re double casting teens and adults. The registration and audition is mostly the same but slightly different between the two.
The Process
Teen registration - Teens 14-18 only (adults go to 2.)
For the audition please prepare a 1 minute (24-36 measure) song. No monologue required.

Vocal: Monday & Tuesday, June 29th & 30th - 5:30pm-10pm
Acting & Dancing: Wednesday, July 1st - 5:30pm-10pm
Call-Backs: Thursday, July 2nd - 5:30pm-10pm
Production Dates
Rehearsals: July 5th - August 13th
Monday-Thursday evenings, 5:30-10pm & Sundays 12:30pm-7pm
Show dates: Thursday - Saturday, August 13th - 29th
12 public performances (2 on each Saturday)
